Safe Passage

Safe Passage reveals that the imminent threat to the animals depicted (cougars, toads, eagles, snakes, butterflies, coral fish, bats) is the lack of 'safe passage' for them through human-wildlife conflict, necessary for that animal's ultimate survival.  Crafted in seven 5-8-minute segments for general audiences, each specific problem (and possible solution) is narrated, in voiceover and interviews, by the dedicated local people who have been trying to create safe passage action plans, often with minimal funding, but much community support and effort. Scientific evidence provided by aerial photos, maps, animation and other graphics, is integrated into live action footage of each animal, so each unique dilemma is clear. As their ideas evolve, and ordinary people try putting them in action, whether they will succeed or not remains a serious question.  What is not in doubt is their ongoing dedication, courage and determination to make a difference and save the species.

The Other Island (L'autre ile)

A first Swiss-Canadian-Jamaican feature film co-production exploring identity, belonging, and diaspora through the story of a biracial woman born in the 1960s and raised in Switzerland between the 1970s and 1990s.

Returning to Jamaica in search of her roots and cultural identity, her journey becomes both humorous and deeply emotional as the film explores the question of where those born between cultures truly belong — or whether they must create their own path.

The film will be presented in English, French, and Jamaican Patois, with filming planned in Switzerland and Jamaica, and post-production in Quebec.

Music features Canadian-Jamaican artist Ammoye, including the title song Soul Rebel.

Investor & Crowdfunding Participation

The project includes both bilingual investor lookbooks and a public crowdfunding presentation designed to allow supporters to become part of the journey behind the film.

The crowdfunding campaign has already generated strong public interest and early development support, reflecting the deeply personal and universal themes explored in the story.

Those interested in learning more, supporting the project, or becoming involved are invited to get in touch via the contact page.

Originally written as screenplays, the three stories are now also being adapted into print books for easy reading.
